Policies and Procedures
Deposits
We are always accepting deposits for our future puppies! Deposits are $500 and will go towards the final purchase price of your puppy. Deposits are nonrefundable but are transferable to future litters. While we cannot guarantee we will have the specific gender, color, or coat type of your choice from your desired litter, we CAN guarantee that you will get a healthy and happy new family member! We try our very best to make an educated guess about what puppies we will be expecting, but Mother Nature ultimately decides what we get! You are more than welcome to skip a litter and wait for the perfect puppy. We place everyone on our list in order of deposits received, In the event a litter is not produced like we had hoped for, there aren't enough puppies out of your chosen litter, or one doesn't meet your criteria, then your deposit will transfer to our next available litter. By placing your deposit with us we assume you agree to these terms.

PayPal: (reservemypuppy@perfectpawprints.com) select "Friends & Family" or add 3% to your transaction.
Waiting List
How it works: If you would like to be placed on our priority waiting list your deposit will reserve your spot in line. After the babies have reached 6 weeks of age (once their personalities start to shine through) everyone will start choosing their puppy in order of our list. If we don't have the perfect puppy for you then your deposit will transfer to our next available litter. It is never too early to get on our waiting list! Please check out our UPCOMING LITTERS & NURSERY pages for availability info on our current or future litters. We retain the right to first pick out of any litter.
Puppy Selection
For all of our local families, we will hold an "open house" the Saturday closest to when the puppies have/will have reached 6 weeks of age. You are welcome to stop by and visit the puppies to get to know their personalities a little better. For our out of state families we will provide a live stream for you to watch the puppies interact as well. We will provide weekly photo updates as the puppies grow and post videos with personality descriptions leading up to our open house. The following Monday will be puppy pick-out day. We will schedule a time for everyone to choose their puppy this day in order of our list. We offer puppy Skype or Face Time sessions during your scheduled time but all visitations are to be made the Saturday prior to puppy pick-out day. We encourage you to not get too attached to a specific puppy until it is your turn to choose. Puppies will be able to leave at 8 weeks of age.
Final Payments
For families on our waiting lists, final payment is due 7 days before the scheduled day to bring your puppy home. If for any reason we haven't received the final payment this day, your chosen puppy and spot in line will be lost. Your puppy will be considered yours once your Deposit and Final Payment are received. If you need delivery, all shipping fees will be due along with the remaining balance of your puppy. If you are paying by check, this must be received and cleared within one week of scheduled delivery date.
PAYMENT METHODS
The following payment methods are accepted for final payments:
Cash: Cash is only accepted in person.
Cashiers Check: Must be received one week before scheduled delivery date.
Check: Must be received and cleared one week before scheduled delivery day.
Refunds
Deposits are nonrefundable, please only place a deposit if you are certain you will be ready for a new puppy in the next 18 months! After the puppy has left our care, the new family has 3 days to take the puppy in to see a vet for a physical examination. If the puppy were to be found in ill health with any life threatening disease, the cause of which we as breeders were to blame, only then can the puppy be returned for a full refund. Shipping fees, if any, would
not be refunded.
Delivery
HAND-DELIVERY: We can hand-deliver your puppy to an airport near you! Your puppy will fly as carry-on with our either myself or a "flight nanny" in the comfort and protection of the airplane cabin. Hand-delivery to the continental US starts at $400 (depending on location). We can also hand-deliver to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, and other countries outside of the continental US, but prices vary by location.
You are welcome to fly in and take your puppy home as a carry-on. We can meet you at the SLC international airport!
Local families and those who wish to drive to pick up their puppy are welcome on scheduled puppy pick-up dates!
Health Guarantee
We stand behind each puppy we sell, and each one will come with a 2 Year Health Guarantee! We guarantee your puppy to be free from any life threatening congenital defect or we will replace your puppy free of charge.
Visitors
Visitors are welcome on puppy "open house" days. If a puppy becomes available after the set pick out day, arrangements for visitations can be made, before visiting, please avoid going to pet stores, animal shelters, dog parks, or any other high traffic areas where other animals frequent. We ask that you remove shoes and sanitize your hands before interacting with the puppies to avoid the spread of disease like the common, but lethal Canine Parvovirus. Boarding
We make every attempt to be as accommodating as possible, and will keep your puppy for a period beyond the agreed upon pick up date if the need arises. There is a $100/week boarding fee for every week after the puppies are available to be picked up or shipped, starting on the first day. This covers the cost of food, training, and boarding. We will board your puppy for up to 2 weeks past the pickup or shipping date.
Returns
Occasionally, circumstances change or a puppy does not work out in his or her new home for various reasons. In these or other similar situations we are more than happy to take the puppy or adult dog back until a new home can be found. We do not offer refunds past the 3 day mark after the puppy has gone to their new home and exchanges can only be made within our 2 Year guarantee window if your puppy was found to have a genetic defect.
Breeding Rights
Each puppy will be sold on a strict spay/neuter contract. Breeding rights may be available to small, approved breeders. Please contact us about breeding right pricing.
